Daily tiffin and snack for kids is a big challenge for moms. Kids want something new and yummy. Today I am sharing one simple, quick to make, healthy yet quick snack for kids.

Butter Masala Roti, is an healthy snack. It is made using multi grain flour, onion, tomato and spices which makes it healthy and fulfilling snack for growing kids. You can serve this as a evening snack, for breakfast or pack in tiffin.

You can also prepare the dough in night and in morning make and pack these roti in tiffin with some curd, pickle or sauce. Make sure to cool it properly before packing to maintain its crunch.

So lets start with recipe.

Butter Masala Roti is a quick and healthy snack. You can also knead the dough in night and make it in morning and pack in Kids Tiffin.

Ingredients
  

  • Multi-grain flour : 2 cups
  • Roasted sesame seeds : 2 tsp.
  • Carom seeds {ajwain} : 1/2 tsp.
  • Butter : 4 tbsp.
  • Fresh mint leaves : 6 to 7
  • Chat masala : 2 tsp.
  • Roasted cumin powder : 1 tsp.
  • Fresh green chilies : 4 to 5
  • Tomato : 2 small
  • Onion : 3 small
  • Ginger-garlic paste : 1 tsp.
  • Fresh coriander : 1/2 cup
  • Ghee : 3 tbsp.
  • Salt : as per taste

Instructions
 

  • Sift flour in a big bowl.
  • Add finely chopped onions, tomatoes, fresh coriander leaves, mint leaves and ginger-garlic paste in the flour.
  • Add washed and finely chopped green chillies, chat masala, sesame seeds, carom seeds and cumin powder in flour, mix well.
  • Finally add melted butter and knead it into a soft dough, use water as required.
  • Make the small balls out of the kneaded dough and give it round shape.
  • Heat a tawa, apply little ghee over it and transfer masala roti and cook on low heat for one minute.
  • Turn the roti and cook the other side for 1 minute or until crispy & light golden brown.
  • Brush cooked roti's with lots of butter & serve hot with tomato sauce.

Notes

You can serve this roti as evening snack or pack in tiffin.
